My first passion growing up was soccer, which grew into a love for endurance sports. That started with running 5k & 10k races, half-marathons, a marathon, & ultimately into triathlons. I enjoyed pushing my limits & seeing what my body was capable of finishing in the endurance world.
After lingering injuries and a shoulder surgery that kept me inactive for almost 6 months, I missed exercise & being active. I knew I needed to strengthen my weaknesses in order to continue & stay healthy, but the gym & weightlifting was intimidating to me. That’s when I found CrossFit & fell in love with the different aspects of fitness & support that I got from the coaches & community. It’s been two years since my injuries & I’ve never felt better or more capable of doing the things that I love with people that I truly care for.
This transformation that CrossFit can bring, is why I want to coach. Coaching has become a new passion of mine & the next progression in my journey. I hope to inspire others that may be hesitant to try CrossFit, share my experiences & help them to push their limits to improve their quality of life both physically & mentally.
